Renewable technology grants for both domestic and commercial buildings are available from the Bureau of Economic and Regulatory Reform (BERR) through the Low Carbon Buildings Program (LCBP). This program is administered by the Energy Saving Trust (EST). The EST are the body you will deal with, with our support, throughout this process.
The LCBP is broken down into two phases. Phase 1 offers grants to domestic homeowners, Phase 2 grants are available to public sector buildings (including schools, hospitals, housing associations and local authorities) and charitable bodies.
The amount of money available for a grant depends on the type of technology you wish to install, summarised by the table below:

| Solar thermal hot water | Overall maximum of £400 or 30% of the relevant eligible costs, whichever is the lower |
| Ground source heat pumps | Overall maximum of £1,200 or 30% of the relevant eligible costs, whichever is the lower |
| Automated wood pellet fed room heaters/stoves | Overall maximum of £600 or 20% of the relevant eligible costs, whichever is the lower |
